ALERT® OUTPATIENT and ALERT® WAITING ROOM went live on December 15 as part of the ALERT® PAPER FREE HOSPITAL (PFH) project at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Urology Centre in Kuwait. This is the first ALERT® Go Live in the Middle East.

The brand new Sabah Al-Ahmad Urology Centre in Kuwait was inaugurated on February 4, 2013, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the Amir of Kuwait. The hospital has a total of nine floors, which include outpatient departments, specialized clinics, operating rooms, intensive care units and recovery rooms. According to the Health Minister, the center is fully equipped with the latest medical technologies to provide the best specialized medical services to its patients.

The implementation of the abovementioned ALERT® modules, including interfaces with existing Laboratory, Imaging and Administrative systems, will benefit the work of many professionals, among them physicians, nurses, ancillaries and administrative clerks. The center’s outpatient department currently processes 30 appointments per day, but this number is expected to increase to 190 appointments per day in the near future.

The ALERT® PFH project implementation is proceeding and in the upcoming months the remainder of the hospital departments will be operational with ALERT® INPATIENT for the inpatient wards, ALERT® ORIS for the operating rooms, and the rest of the modules that encompass the ALERT® PFH suite of products which are in the scope of the full project.

This contract embodies Advanced Technology Company’s (ATC) first success as ALERT’s exclusive partner in Kuwait.
