ALERT Life Sciences Computing S.L. signed a contract in mid 2009 for the implementation of its triage support tool in all hospitals of the national healthcare system of the Madrid Community. This tool has been developed according to the Manchester Triage Protocol.

Currently undergoing implementation, this project was approved by both the Regional Hospital Directorate and by the Information System Directorate. It contemplates the standardization of the patient classification process at Emergency Departments of the whole Community of Madrid and it is also looked upon as being a tool which will redefine and improve patient processing at the region's Emergency Services.

Implemented since 2004 at some of the most important hospitals of the region, the system is now present in over twenty new hospitals in Madrid.
