ALERT will participate in the upcoming Interoperability Showcase organized by IHE at HIMSS, in Orlando, Florida, from February 25 - 28.
During the event, interoperability functionalities from several different clinical software vendors are demonstrated in public. This is the third year in a row in which ALERT® products are shown at the Interoperability Showcase at HIMSS. For the very first time, two distinct user profiles will be introduced:
Content Consumer for EDR (Emergency Department Referrals) - document collection for patient referrals;
Content Creator for EDES (Emergency Department Encounter Summary) - creation and publication of clinical documents in a RHIO network.
In order to be eligible to participate in the Interoperability Showcase, all ALERT® software systems have to have passed IHE interoperability tests successfully. These were held during the week-long Connectathon organized by IH in Chicago, last January. Approximately 300 visitors from over 80 companies attended this event.
Moreover, by using the latest standards, ALERT will be able to publically demonstrate its products' interoperability capability. This allows ALERT to position itself amongst worldwide leading healthcare IT companies.
